Internship Opportunities
Folium, Inc. recognizes that internships foster growth and development of academic scholars by providing firsthand exposure to organizations and communities and establishing professional networks. Our agency assures that when an intern is assigned to a program, the experience involves: direct consumer contact, regular supervision and consultation with the field instructors and site supervisors, and an overall experience that matches the current academic program and career interests.
The on-boarding process of placement is arranged through our Internship Coordinator, in collaboration with our Human Resources Department, even before the intern enters the assigned location. Collaboration with the university occurs through this on-boarding process, to assure that all expectations are secured and communicated.
Our internship program is created to provide the intern with the opportunity to know the culture of our agency through both virtual and in-person training opportunities. Agency monitoring and evaluation of progress occurs throughout the internship to determine assimilation to the agency and potential for future employment.
- ABA - accepts master's level interns who are pursuing a degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or Behavioral Psychology; also accepts job shadowing for high school students.
- Outpatient Clinic offices - accept master's level interns who are pursuing a degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology, with an intention for licensure.
- Transition Program - accepts both bachelor's as well as master's level interns during the school calendar year within various educational settings; also accepts job shadowing for high school students.
- School-Based Services - accepts master's level interns during the school calendar year who are pursuing a degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology
- Family Based Mental Health Services - accepts both bachelor's and master's level interns who are pursuing degrees in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology; also accepts job shadowing for high school students.
